The Mission Statement of North East Somerset and Bath Methodist Circuit

Our mission as the Methodist Church in North East Somerset and Bath Circuit is to:
·       help build the kingdom of God in our locality through holding the circuit resources (people, buildings, money) in trust and overseeing their wise use.
·       encourage looking up and looking out so that we are quick to respond to the Holy Spirit at work.
·       foster a culture and spirit of collaboration, sharing and valuing difference across the circuit.

We want to do this in such a way that we
(i)                  encourage, enthuse and enable emerging and existing local Methodist communities.
(ii)                nurture new growth in the knowledge and love of God through worship and through small groups.
(iii)              enable the love of God in Christ to be shared with passion and confidence in our local communities.
(iv)              work together with community partners both ecumenical and secular, local and global, to seek environmental and social justice.
